The Pacific Ocean is the world's largest ocean. It covers one third of the Earth's surface, and makes up half of the world's ocean area. It is home to the Ring of Fire, and the Great Barrier Reef, as well as over 25,000 islands. The ocean has many intricate ecosystems that support many organisms and people.
